Mitigata hosts India’s first and largest Cyber Resilience hackathon drawing 2600+ registrations

Mitigata, India’s first full-stack cyber resilience company, has announced that its CyberForge Hackathon 2026 has received over 2,600 registrations, with 137 teams shortlisted for a 24-hour competition focused on artificial intelligence in cyber resilience . The hackathon will be held at Mitigata’s headquarters in Bellandur, Bengaluru, from October 31 to November 1, 2026.

As artificial intelligence transforms both the nature of cyberattacks and the way organisations defend against them, the need for skilled cyber resilience  professionals is becoming increasingly critical. CyberForge aims to bridge this gap by bringing emerging technology talent together to develop practical, AI-led solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.

Addressing the Cybersecurity Talent Gap

Today’s cyber resiliency teams operate in an increasingly complex threat environment. From distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) and man-in-the-middle attacks to zero-day vulnerabilities, security professionals must identify threats, investigate alerts and respond to incidents at speed.

However, the industry continues to face a shortage of professionals with the practical skills required to tackle these challenges. CyberForge seeks to address this gap by providing participants with an opportunity to apply their technical knowledge to real-world problems, while enabling Mitigata to identify talent capable of building the next generation of cybersecurity solutions.

A Competition With a Pathway to Employment

CyberForge goes beyond a conventional hackathon by creating a direct pathway from technical problem-solving to employment opportunities. Mitigata plans to recruit top-performing participants, with winning candidates getting an opportunity to join its core product team and contribute to the development of its cybersecurity solutions.

The competition carries a total prize pool of ₹3.5 lakh, with ₹2 lakh for the winning team, ₹1 lakh for the runner-up and ₹50,000 for the third-place team. “Cybersecurity is becoming an AI-first discipline, and that fundamentally changes the skills the industry needs. We cannot build the next generation of cybersecurity solutions with theoretical knowledge alone. We need people who can understand how attacks work, think on their feet and translate technical expertise into solutions that work in the real world. CyberForge is our effort to identify that talent and give them an opportunity to build with us,” said Mayank Morya, Co-founder and CTO, Mitigata.
